Life Experiences
In the summer of 2006, I asked my grandchildren how they had benefited from playing the Game as
they were growing up and this is what they said:
Derek Schwarz,
co-creator of the Game, “It made me realize how much is inside of me and what to
focus on. It was an eyeopener!”
He was 9 when we made the first cards and he was 14 when he said this.
Ryan Spain, “I knew more about
myself than the other kids did.”
He was 10 when he played it for the first time and he was 15 when he made this statement.
Kyla Spain, “It helped me see
who I am and what I do in life. I have a clearer sense of myself than I would have without the Game.”
Kyla was 7 when we were creating the Game and she was 12 when she had this insight.
Melissa Schwarz, “It makes me
proud of who I am!”
She was 4 when we began working on the Game. She was 9 when this occurred to her.
All of my grandchildren played the Game again when I visited them in the summers of 2006 and 2008.
They learn more about themselves each time they play it.
Samantha Davis, “It gives me
clarity in my life.”
She is my grandchildren’s cousin and has played the Game since she was 8. She was 13 when she made
this comment.
Kathleen
Wildwood, “Creating the Game with my grandchildren has made us close as they grew
up. The Game reflects my own personal growth path and it has given me great satisfaction to facilitate others
in playing the Game and to witness the changes it brings into their lives. I ‘see’ the Game being an e-Game on the
web, an e-book, and a boxed Game and I ‘see’ it used in homes, schools, churches, counselor’s offices. I
‘see’ ministers and therapists using it with people in life changes.”
Joey
Casino, (Joey played the Game when he was 8, and again when he was 11) “After
playing the game, I have been nicer to my sister and ny Mom. I have also been more confident about myself!.”
Age 11
Connie
Moore, “It helped me go peacefully through my divorce and do what I had to do. It
helped me know who I am and what’s important to me. It confirmed that I want to be in a meaningful, satisfying,
fulfilling relationship where I can share all of the Aspects of my Being and have them honored and supported. I
also want my Qualities and Values recognized, honored and supported. I want to incorporate the Game in my classroom
~ getting to know the kids and their needs and desires and how I can best serve them. I could work with people on
their relationships ~ using the Game.”
Connie sees the Vision for the Game as I do and she is past Vice-president of the Journey of Life
Foundation.
Susan Breed, “Your Journey of
Life Game was probably one of the most insight producing, clarifying experiences I’ve ever had, especially in
such a short period of time. It is worth months (years?) of counseling. Thank you, thank you.”
Susan is a lawyer.
Anonymous, “I feel I received guidance and answers. I
am more at peace than when I arrived. It was an awakening! It makes me want to pay more attention to all my
Aspects, so that I can ascertain my Values to realize my Gifts and Powers, so that I might share and benefit
mankind.”
Anonymous, “For someone who does not like games,
cards, etc. I enjoyed it very much. The cards are beautiful and fun to work with. It is a good way to organize your
thoughts and feelings to help in the achievement of goals.”
Lucy Jane
Mock, "It helped me see myself in a deep and thorough way ~ and assisted me in seeing
the relationship with the woman who lives with me in a new light, making it easier. I can share how I have
benefited with those in my Unity church ~ and I already have. Others have come to play the Game as a result.”
Robert
Taylor, Writer, “I know you will be pleased to know that I have been working on
my “intent” which came out of playing the Journey of Life Game ~ to do more reading. I made a conscious, and
successful, attempt to recognize my priorities and have been reading several hours three nights in a row now. It
feels wonderful! So, thank you for giving me to impetus to return this extraordinarily valuable, and enjoyable,
pursuit to the center of my life. Until you helped me remember, I had forgotten how much this has always meant to
me.”
Steve
Whaley, “I lost my job and was many months without one. Finally, I found a job in
Austin and spent 6 days a week there. My wife got sick and died. I couldn’t be with her as much as I wanted to be.
Six months later I quit that job. Now I am adjusting to living alone and finding a way to share my Energy work. I
want to work with kids 7 to 17 and teach them to use the Energy in their lives. Playing the Game helped me get
clarity and focus. I can tell others that and encourage them to play the Game.”
Kimberly
Clark, “The Game has helped me in my relationship with my daughter. As a networker, I
want to put people and resources together. I am looking for the way I can assist in getting the Game to more
people.”
Raelynn
Scott, a Reformed Catholic priest and Hospice Chaplain, “My friend, Gay , a woman
Rabbi, and I had a dream to create a way to give spiritual care to the ill and dying, focusing on care and
compassion rather than money. She died in a car wreck 2 years ago and the dream has remained dormant within
me. Playing the Game I released my fear and found my courage to step forth and bring this dream into reality.
Others have stepped forth and the momentum has started. February 1 we have the first meeting to raise money
to start the Center. I am excited and I am grateful to the Game. I want those who work with me to
experience playing the Journey of Life Game.”
September 2007 ~ the Hospice is a reality!
Dana
Grace, “The second time I played the Game I realized I am called to work with the
dying. So, I went to school, got my Certified Nursing Assistant’s training and license, and am ready to work for
Raelynn’s Hospice.”
Linda
Hall, “Playing the Game was such a powerful experience for me! It has helped me
‘shift gears’ in my life ~ giving up my shop and moving into healing practices. I can schedule people to come to my
place in Springtown to play the Game and take a % of the money. I already tell people of the benefits I have
received.”
Renee
Snider, “I thank you SO much for introducing me to the Journey of Life Game. It is
amazing how the opportunity to play it came at just the perfect moment for me! The self-understanding from the Game
has surely helped me to see my direction more clearly and with conviction! When I got home I felt like purging the
house and my body, to allow the new energies to move in. I want to be a Facilitator. The Game will be of so much
help and insight for such a vast number of people in so many ways. I love the Game and I’m so glad I have met
you.”
